Samsung x Spotify

In a collaboration between Samsung and Spotify, the Summer Rewind project was developed to showcase the new Samsung Flip Z through an engaging and interactive digital experience. The site featured personalized, summer-themed playlists generated from users’ Spotify data, along with an interactive model of the Samsung Flip Z.

Despite not having access to a 3D model of the phone, the team successfully created a visually compelling experience, using a creative sequence of PNG still frames to simulate the 360 degree interactions.

The Summer Rewind project was a success, effectively showcasing the Samsung Flip Z through a memorable digital product. The project received positive feedback from both Samsung and Spotify for its' innovation and execution.

By leveraging React/NextJS and Howler.js, we were able to exceed expectations for the brief with a tight turnaround and limited assets from the client. This project is a great example of collaboration between developers and designers, using the technical constraints to come up with a creative solution.
